Take a sip of sunshine with this iced lavender latte! Scrumptiously sweet and fabulously floral with a homemade lavender syrup, it’s a coffee recipe that’s very delicious and very on trend!
Putting my regular lavender latte over ice was a no-brainer to enjoy during warm weather. Or anytime really, for this millennial who is, rightfully, obsessed with the flavor of lavender.
If I had a nickel for every post or video I saw about our generation’s love for lavender lattes with oat milk I’d be swimming in coins like Scrooge McDuck!
And if being from my generation wasn't going to make me love lavender, being from Wisconsin definitely would. Did you know Wisconsin is home to many beautiful lavender farms?!
Personally, I’m more of a whole milk in lattes kind of gal, but you can use any milk or milk alternative you would like for this recipe. Here’s what else you’ll need:
Ingredients for this recipe
- Lavender Simple Syrup – Stir in a teaspoon of vanilla extract to your homemade version for an amazing lavender vanilla iced latte!
- Espresso – You can pull two shots of your favorite espresso or mix up some instant espresso.
- Milk – Again, whatever kind you prefer. Whole or skim or oat. (Take note that many milk alternatives come pre-sweetened.)
Making a lavender iced latte like a real barista
This is just a quick overview, find detailed instructions in the recipe card below!
- Add the syrup to a glass. You can use more or less than directed in the recipe card depending on how sweet you like your drinks. I like more coffee and less sweet, so I do about 1 tablespoon.
- Combine with the espresso. If you added a teaspoon of vanilla extract to your lavender simple syrup when you made it, oh are you in for a treat!
- Top with milk. Then add your ice. Coffee ice cubes keep the drink from being watered down.
- Enjoy! So easy!

Using Cold Brew Coffee
If you don’t have an espresso maker you can substitute homemade cold brew coffee in a pinch to make more of an iced lavender cold brew coffee situation. It’ll still be delish!
I don’t recommend using freshly brewed coffee for this recipe, though. It’ll be very weak and very watered down.
