Craving something floral, caffeinated, and lusciously sweet? Look no further than this lavender latte! It’s one of my favorite coffee recipes because it means I only need to combine three ingredients, take a sip, and be transported to actual heaven.

Made with homemade lavender syrup, bold espresso, and your favorite steamed milk this latte can be enjoyed in mere moments. How lucky are we?

If you love a latte (like I do!) be sure to check out my vanilla latte, maple latte, and/or dirty chai latte. They’re all fabulous!

    Ingredients for this recipe

    • Lavender Simple Syrup – Yes, I make it at home because it’s SO EASY, but you can buy it, too!
    • Espresso – I do a double shot of decaf espresso, because anxiety. You can pull two shots of fully caffeinated espresso or mix up some instant espresso.
    • Steamed Milk – We’re a whole milk house (hello, I’m married to a former dairy farmer!), but you can use 2% or even oat or almond.

    Wisconsin Lavender

It might sound far fetched, but aside from dairy, cranberries, and beer, lavender is also a popular culinary product made right here in Wisconsin!

Lavender farms are most popular in Door County, Wisconsin – which just so happens to be one of our favorite places to vacation! Whenever we travel up there we enjoy lavender products of all kinds – from soaps, to spa treatments, to lattes just like this one.

So obviously recreating it at home was a no-brainer!

    Let’s make a lavender latte!

This is just a brief overview, find detailed instructions in the recipe card below!

    1. Add the syrup to a glass. You can use more or less depending on how sweet you like your drinks. I like more coffee-taste and less sweetness, so I do about 1 tablespoon.
    2. Combine with the espresso. I find that using a fancy glass at home makes me miss a coffee shop less.
    3. Top with steamed milk. Make it in a milk frother, with a handheld frother, or in a mason jar.
    4. Enjoy! Again and again and again.
Add lavender syrup to a mug.
    Mix in freshly-brewed espresso.
    Froth your preferred milk.
    Pour over sweetened espresso.
Garnish with dried lavender, if desired.
    Enjoy!

    Notes

    • Some nut milks and milk alternatives come pre-sweetened so beware of this before making your latte so it doesn’t come out too sweet.
