This simple three ingredient white chocolate mocha recipe is a delightful combination of sweet white chocolate and bold espresso topped with your favorite milk or milk alternative. It’s a classic coffee recipe that’s great hot or iced. And ready in just 3 minutes! How easy is that?!

White chocolate doesn’t get enough love! And there’s so much to love! Sugary sweetness and a rich cocoa butter flavor. What could be better to pair with fresh espresso?!

    Ingredients for this recipe

    • Espresso – Make it in a machine, moka pot, or mix up some instant espresso powder. You can also use strongly brewed coffee. More on that below.
    • White Chocolate – This will add the perfect balance of sweetness to the espresso. In my peppermint white mocha post I show you how to use a whole piece of real white chocolate!
    • Milk – Whatever dairy or dairy-alternative you like to use in your homemade coffee recipes!

Don’t forget to try my classic mocha latte made with the richest chocolate sauce ever!

This is just a brief overview, find detailed instructions in the recipe card below!

    1. Brew the espresso. And combine with white chocolate syrup in a glass.
    2. Top with steamed milk. Or milk-alternative. If you’re making it iced, go ahead and add ice here and use cold milk instead.
    3. Enjoy! Add a spray of whipped cream or a drizzle of white chocolate sauce for extra sweetness if you’re wanting a real treat.
Add white chocolate syrup to a glass.
    Mix with espresso.
    Top with steamed milk.
    And enjoy!

Can I make a latte without espresso?

Trying to make a Starbucks-inspired drink at home but don’t have an espresso maker? Never fear! There are methods to make a strongly brewed cup of coffee that work fairly well in a pinch.

If you don’t have an espresso machine at home, I recommend using 3 ounces of very strongly brewed coffee so it doesn’t taste weak.

To brew an extra strong cup of coffee at home, use 3 tablespoons of ground coffee per 6 ounces of water. This will get you about two servings of coffee to make two lattes.

You can find instant espresso powder at your higher end grocery stores or online and that will also work in a pinch.

An iced white mocha without espresso

If you’re wanting to enjoy an iced white mocha and are lacking espresso you can always substitute cold brew concentrate in its place.

Is it technically a latte anymore, no, not really, not by definition. But it’s still really delicious!

And isn’t that what we’re all about here? Deliciousness.
