A London Fog Latte with Lavender Syrup is a lightly sweet and floral tea recipe that is a delicious blend of classic Earl Grey tea, fragrant lavender syrup, and your choice of milk. Enjoy it hot or iced whenever the craving strikes you.

The bergamot flavor in the steeped Earl Grey tea blends so well with the floral flavor of the lavender simple syrup in this three-ingredient latte. I love that you can use decaf tea too!
This tea latte is more subtle than the chai latte. It’s not about warm spices but about creamy sweetness. Think lighter and brighter, but still aromatic and delicious!

Try it Iced!
Lavender Vanilla Simple Syrup
If desired, you can always stir a tablespoon or two of vanilla extract into your lavender syrup to get even more flavor into your earl grey latte!
The flavor combo is unmatched and I like doing that in my lavender latte recipe, too!
London Fog Latte with Lavender Syrup
Equipment
- Serving Glass
Ingredients
- 1 Earl Grey teabag
- 1 tablespoon lavender simple syrup, more or less to taste
- 4 ounces milk of choice, steamed in a milk frother
Instructions
- In your serving glass, steep the tea bag in 4 ounces of boiling water for 5 minutes.
- After steeping, squeeze the teabag and discard (yes, I know some people hate the idea of squeezing a tea bag, but I do it for this recipe or the flavor of the tea is too subtle).
- Add the lavender simple syrup, stirring to combine.
- Pour steamed milk over the latte, garnish with dried lavender buds, if desired, and enjoy!
To make an iced London Fog latte:
- Instead of steaming the milk, after the lavender syrup is added to the brewed tea, add the chilled milk and then top with ice to serve! (I add the milk first to keep the ice from melting too quickly and diluting the drink.)
