The top image shows a chai martini garnished with star anise. The bottom image shows a coupe glass being filled with a cocktail.

This Dirty Chai Espresso Martini is filled with rich espresso, fragrant chai latte concentrate, bold coffee liqueur, and quality vodka. Shaken over ice for that classic foamy top it is the perfect blend of delicately sweet and deliciously spicy. Get ready for it to be your new go-to cocktail recipe when entertaining or just enjoying a bevvie at home!

This cocktail is like a classic espresso martini and the delicious dirty chai latte had a boozy baby! It’s got all the components of the traditional espresso ‘tini but with the addition of chai latte concentrate to provide spice and warmth. Truly, a treat!

Between my pumpkin spice espresso martini and peppermint mocha espresso martini, you’d think I was sick of putting a spin on the beloved bar beverage. Nope! I had to add another remix and make it a chai latte version!

Let’s take a gander at the ingredients

    Ingredient Notes

    • Espresso – You can pull two shots on your machine or even make instant espresso.
    • Chai Latte Concentrate – I make mine at home with decaf tea, but you can also buy it at most grocery stores. Some even have added dairy for a creamier cocktail.
    • Coffee Liqueur – I like Mr. Black’s, but you can also use Kahlúa for a little rum kick.

    Chai Espresso Martini Recipe

This is just a brief overview, find detailed instructions in the recipe card below!

Add the vodka and coffee liqueur to a shaker filled with ice.
Next, add the espresso and chai concentrate.
Shake very well and strain into glass.
    Garnish and enjoy!

    Using Cold Brew Coffee

I know not everyone has two espresso machines like me (whoops). Or keeps instant espresso powder in the cupboard. So, with that said…

You can substitute a strong cold brew coffee concentrate in place of the espresso if you’re in a pinch.

The martini might not foam up as well, but it’ll still have tons of rich coffee flavor!

How to easily measure 1 ounce

Whenever you’re making a drink at home, don’t forget that 1 standard shot of alcohol is 1 ounce.

If you don’t have a cocktail jigger at home to help you measure, just remember: 1 fluid ounce is equivalent to 2 tablespoons.

Easy, peasy. Now you can go forth and get your drink on!
