Let’s make a little magic, shall we?
A homemade chai spice blend is easy as can be – you probably already have everything in your spice cupboard just waiting to be used.
I looked at quite a few recipes online while making my own and decided to forgo the freshly ground black pepper in my mix, as I’ll be using it for baking sweets, but if you’d like to have a slightly spicier version, feel free to add a teaspoon or two.
Chai Spice Blend
4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 teaspoon ground ginger
2 teaspoon ground cardamom
2 teaspoon ground allspice
1 ½ teaspoon ground cloves
Combine all spices and mix well. Store in airtight container.
