Sweet and Spicy Dirty Chai Espresso Martini

This cocktail is like a classic espresso martini and the delicious dirty chai latte had a boozy baby! Bold espresso, fragrant chai concentrate, coffee liqueur, and vodka combine into a perfectly sweet and spicy martini that has that quintessential foamy top!

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker or mason jar with lid
  • Cocktail strainer or fine mesh sieve
  • Martini or coupe glass

Instructions

  • Add a generous handful of ice to a cocktail shaker or glass mason jar. Add in 2 ounces of vodka, 2 ounces freshly brewed espresso, 2 ounces chai concentrate, and 1 ounce coffee liqueur.
  • Put lid on shaker (or on jar) and shake espresso martini for 20 – 30 seconds, or until shaker is very cold and “iced over.”
  • Immediately strain into serving glass and top with a star anise and a sprinkle of chai spice blend, if desired.
  • Enjoy immediately.

  • For a sweeter drink you can add ½ ounce (1 tablespoon) simple syrup.
