Peppermint Mocha Cold Foam is the ultimate in cold brew coffee drinks! It’s delicious, festive, and full of mint and chocolate flavors. It’s easier than you’d think to make your own Starbucks quality drinks right at home! All season long!

A glass is filled with peppermint mocha cold foam cold brew and topped with crushed peppermint candies. It sits on a white marble board with another glass of coffee behind it and Christmas decorations in the background.

It only takes three ingredients to make a delicious peppermint mocha cold foam topper for homemade cold brew coffee.

Add a splash of a peppermint simple syrup and a sprinkle of crushed peppermint candies to really make this a show-stopping, caffeine-filled drink!

Now we’re gearing up for holiday coffee beverages and I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than with a copycat peppermint mocha cold foam recipe! Here’s what you’ll need to make your own coffee shop copycat at home:

    Ingredients for this recipe

    • Cold Brew Coffee
    • Heavy Cream
    • Chocolate Sauce (be decadent, get the real stuff like this one or this one)
    • Peppermint Extract
    • Granulated Sugar

One of my favorite things about this recipe (and indeed all my cold brew coffee recipes), is that everything can be made in advance, kept in the fridge, and ready to be used whenever you need a jolt of caffeine.

How to make Peppermint Mocha Cold Foam at Home

This is just a brief overview, find more detailed instructions in the recipe card below!

    1. Make the cold brew. These are the best instructions!
    2. Make the peppermint simple syrup. Just whisk together the sugar and water and cook until dissolved. Then stir in the peppermint extract.
    3. Mix together the peppermint mocha sweet cream. Just whisk all the ingredients together. That’s it!
    4. Assemble the cold brew. Fill a glass with ice. Add a splash of the peppermint syrup, then a bit of water and the cold brew concentrate. Stir to combine.
    5. Whip the peppermint mocha cold foam. When it's thick and fluffy, dollop it on top of the cold brew.
    6. Garnish. With crushed peppermint candies, if desired.

If you’ve been around here for awhile, you already know how much I adore a Starbuck’s dupe recipe!

I’ve got the ever popular whipped vanilla sweet cream cold foam recipe that’s easily one of the best things I’ve ever made. And then, of course, a pumpkin cream version that is so perfect for autumn.

Peppermint Mocha is such a classic holiday flavor, I couldn’t imagine the season going by without it. And now we don’t have to!

Of course, as with any of my cold foam recipes you can skip whipping it up and just use it as a peppermint mocha flavored sweet cream. It’s delish in hot coffee too!

    Equipment

    • Whisk
    • Nutri-Bullet Blender

    Ingredients

    For the peppermint simple syrup:

    • ½ cup granulated sugar
    • ½ cup water
    • 1 tsp. peppermint extract

For the peppermint mocha sweet cream:

    • 1 cup heavy cream
    • ½ cup chocolate sauce such as Ghiradelli or Smucker’s
    • ½ tsp. peppermint extract

    For the drink:

    • cold brew coffee concentrate
    • peppermint candies optional

    Instructions

    For the peppermint simple syrup:

    • In a small saucepan whisk together the water and sugar over medium heat. Mix until the sugar is dissolved before stirring in the peppermint extract. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Refrigerate until ready to use.

For the peppermint mocha sweet cream:

    • Whisk together the heavy cream, chocolate sauce, and peppermint extract until smooth. Refrigerate until ready to use.

    To assemble the drink:

    • Fill a large glass with ice. Add about 1 ounce of the peppermint syrup in the bottom of the glass. Add cold brew coffee ¾ of the way up the glass (the cold brew concentrate can be diluted with water, if desired).
    • Take ¼ cup of the peppermint mocha sweet cream and pulse in a Nutri-Bullet for 5 seconds, or until thick. Pour over the top of the coffee.
    • Garnish with crushed peppermint candies, if desired, before serving.

    Notes

    • This is my favorite recipe for homemade cold brew coffee concentrate
    • Cold Foam can also be made by hand with a whisk or by using a mixer, if desired.
    • The peppermint mocha sweet cream also makes a delicious coffee creamer in hot coffee!
    • Peppermint mocha sweet cream can be stored in the fridge for up to one week.
