Enjoy this Wisconsin Supper Club-inspired Brandy Alexander with Ice Cream at home in just a few minutes and with only four ingredients! It’s creamy, sweet, and has just a hint of warm cocoa flavor. You’ll fall in love with this cool cocktail recipe after the first sip!

Enjoy this boozy milkshake by combining vanilla ice cream, brandy, crème de cacao, and a splash of cream and blending until smooth. Because if there’s one thing we will do in Wisconsin it’s combine dairy and alcohol!

In fact, we haven’t just done it by making a milkshake version of the classic Brandy Alexander Cocktail, but by also putting the Pink Squirrel with Ice Cream and Grasshopper Cocktail on most Supper Club menus across the state!

But I'd say this brandy recipe is where we really shine! Wouldn't you?

This is just a brief overview, find detailed instructions in the recipe card below!

Add vanilla ice cream to a blender.
    Followed by your favorite brandy.
A good dose of creme de cacao.
And a splash of heavy cream.
Blend until smooth & pour into serving glasses.
    Garnish and enjoy!

Blended Brandy Alexander Ice Cream Drink For a Crowd

Every year we make big batches of Ice Cream Grasshopper cocktails to enjoy on New Year’s Eve. Making them all at once is easier than trying to blend a drink per-person during a get together.

Should you need it, here’s how to make enough Brandy Alexanders with ice cream for a group of four:

    • Add 8 scoops (about 4 cups) of vanilla ice cream to a blender.
    • Add ¾ cup of high-quality brandy, ¾ cup of crème de cacao, and start with ½ cup of heavy cream.
    • Start blending the drinks at high power.
    • If necessary, add another splash of heavy cream to make it blend easier.
    • Serve in tall glasses garnished with whipped cream, nutmeg, and maraschino cherries.
A glass is filled with ice cream brandy alexander with a cherry on top. The glass rests on a silver tray.

This year was the first time I had this. It was amazing. So when I saw your recipe I was so excited to try it. It wasn't quite the same. The mixture was very loose and thin so we had to put it in the freezer to set. This version is way more boozier that we had to add more ice cream. We will try it again but make some adjustments.

        Hi Vida,

Depending on where you had a brandy alexander and who made it, it may never been the same twice! Every bar and restaurant is going to have a different spin. I like to make sure my cocktails are boozy lol. But yes, make adjustments to suit your tastes as always!

Can this be pre-made and frozen?

        Hi Sarah,

I've never tried it that way. I know from experience of ordering drive-thru milkshakes and then refreezing them if I can't finish them that it's never quite the same, you know? You're not going to get a drinkable boozy shake, you'll get a totally frozen cocktail. You can make a big batch version to serve a crowd if you want to cut down on prep or make things easier. Just multiply the quantities by the number of servings you're looking for and make in a large blender.

        Hope this helps!
