Strawberry Rosé Jello Shots (3 Ingredients!)

Delightfully pink and deliciously sweet, these Strawberry Rosé Jello Shots are made with strawberry jello and your favorite bottle of rosé wine. A little extra gelatin helps the shots keep their shape when cut from the pan. As a bonus, they’re sturdy enough to be poured into festive molds like hearts for Valentine’s Day!

Equipment

  • 9x9 Square Pan
  • Small Saucepan
  • Measuring Cups

Ingredients

  • 3 cups rosé wine (or one standard 750 milliliter bottle which is 25 ounces)
  • ¼ ounce unflavored gelatin (or 1 envelop of Knox unflavored gelatin)
  • 3 ounces strawberry jello mix (one small box)

Instructions

  • Lightly coat a 9x9 square baking pan with cooking spray and set aside.
  • In a large measuring cup (such as a 4-cup measure), add ½ cup of chilled rosé and sprinkle the gelatin over the top. Allow the gelatin to bloom for 5 minutes. Then top with the strawberry jello mix.
  • While the gelatin blooms, add another 1 cup champagne to a small saucepan. Set over medium heat and bring to a near boil (you don’t want the wine to boil, or it’ll lose alcohol content. Watch it closely.)
  • Once the rosé is steaming hot, pour over the bloomed gelatin and strawberry jello. Whisk until the gelatin is fully dissolved, about 2 minutes.
  • Pour the rest of the bottle of wine into the gelatin mixture, mixing until well combined.
  • Pour the jello shots into the prepared pan.
  • Chill in fridge until shots are set, at least 3-4 hours, or overnight.
  • When ready to serve, coat a sharp knife in cooking spray and cut into squares. Enjoy!
  • Alternatively: shots can be poured into molds lightly coated in cooking spray and refrigerated until set. To de-mold the shots, just flip over the mold and gently press to release.
