Place crushed ice into martini glass to chill while making the cocktail. Pour all ingredients into shaker filled with ice. Shake well. Discard ice from chilled glass.
Rub rim of chilled martini glass with lemon rind before straining contents of shaker into glass. Garnish with lemon rind and edible flowers, if desired.
