Honey Mint Simple Syrup

A sweet simple syrup delicately flavored with honey and fresh mint. Perfect for coffee, cocktails, and a whole host of other recipes!

  • Sauce Pan


  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 ½ ounces mint such as sweet mint, spearmint, and/or chocolate mint


  • In a shallow saucepan, stir together the honey with ½ cup water. Cook over medium heat, stirring continuously, until honey has dissolved into water and mixture is homogenous.
  • Remove syrup from heat and add mint. Let steep for 5 – 10 minutes (longer for a more potent flavor), before removing mint and discarding.
  • Pour syrup into a glass jar with a lid and allow to cool, uncovered, to room temperature, before sealing and placing in fridge.


  • Simple syrup will keep in the fridge for a loooooooong time. Like, months. But, I generally use it in a matter of weeks.
  • Use this syrup to flavor iced coffee or a fun cocktail!
