RED WINE VENISON STEW

INGREDIENTS

You'll need venison, mushrooms, garlic, red wine, bacon, beef stock, onion, carrots, flour, herbs, and seasonings.

Cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from pan and save the grease.

Sear the venison in the bacon grease.

Cook the mushrooms in the same pot then remove and set aside.

Saute the veggies until tender and fragrant. If necessary, deglaze the pan with a smidge of beef stock.

INSTRUCTIONS

Return the venison to the pot and coat everything with flour. Add in herbs, red wine and stock. Cook for 3 hours in a 325F oven.

Serve immediately over mashed potatoes!
