Saute the carrots, garlic, and onion in olive oil until softened. Add the spices and saute for another minute or so.

Add in the cooked acorn squash and stock and bring to a boil for 15 minutes.

Puree the soup either in a blender or using an immersion blender. Add in the heavy cream and maple syrup. Stir to combine.

Taste and adjust seasoning, adding more salt, chile powder, or cinnamon, before serving.
