Here is the soup I mentioned last week! (When I posted another soup?)
Creamy, comforting, cozy.
Everything soup should be.
The heat is officially on. It’s only set at 65 – but, nevertheless, I’ve succumbed and turned it on.
I’ve had to start my car prior to leaving to have it defrost.
Seth saw flakes and flurries coming home from work the other night.
I’ve bought decaf coffee and tea to drink late at night to warm up.
I’m currently making soup.
Not this soup, I made this soup a while ago.
Right now, I’m making mushroom and wild rice soup. Up next, it’ll be cheesy chicken and rice. A few weeks ago, it was loaded baked potato.
Growing up I used to eat a lot of canned beets. Just…straight outta the can. Or microwaved until lukewarm.
I honestly don’t know what I was thinking.
All I can say is that with age comes wisdom.
And an appreciation for local produce, golden beets, and homemade dressing.
