The heat is officially on. It’s only set at 65 – but, nevertheless, I’ve succumbed and turned it on.
I’ve had to start my car prior to leaving to have it defrost.
Seth saw flakes and flurries coming home from work the other night.
I’ve bought decaf coffee and tea to drink late at night to warm up.
It’s chilly.
I won’t say cold because this is nothing. We’ve got a long way to go before it is really and truly cold – I’d say a solid 40 to 50 degree drop will make it legitimately cold.
In preparation for that, though, I’ve been wearing wool socks, I’ve dug out my knitted hats, and am living on this shrimp pasta made with a spicy tomato sauce. Check out the recipe on Ernessi’s site!

Why can't I view the recipe? I don't want to download anything. Is there a way to view without doing this?

Hi Tracy,
This is a very old post that wasn't written very well (live and learn!). It was actually posted in partnership with an herb farm I was working with. You don't have to download anything. Simply click the link that says "this recipe" on the last sentence of the post and it will take you to the herb farm's website where the recipe is written out. Sorry for any confusion! If there are any issues, feel free to email me (amanda@midwestniceblog.com) and I will directly send you the recipe 🙂
Hope this helps,
Amanda
